Co-Founder and father of the brave Malala, Mr. Ziauddin Yousafzai, Lisa Forsyth, acting head of global advocacy and Martha Colman, special project coordinator for Malala Fund have visited Hiwot Ethiopia on 10th July,2019.
Mr. Ziauddin Yousafzia is an activist and educator. He is the father of Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai. As a co-founder and Board member of Malala Fund, he advocates for every girl’s right.
Mr. Getaalem Kassa, Executive Director to Hiwot Ethiopia welcomed Mr. Yousafzai and the delegates from Malala Fund briefed the overview and key examples of pioneering work of men and boys program in Ethiopia. In addition, Getaalem briefed about keeping Ethiopian girls to school project. Furthermore a story from Hiwot’s community program for fathers was by Tilahun Ayele who is a model father and a listeners group member of Hiwot Ethiopia Radio Program. Following the presentation, intensive discussion was made between Hiwot Ethiopia and Malala Fund delegates. Finally, Mr. Ziauddin Yousafzia, has given 20 minutes interview session with Hiwot Ethiopia’s Yenegat weg Radio show.
