Hiwot Ethiopia, in partnership with Social Development Direct, is committed to implementing a Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH) programme from 2025 to 2030 as part of the RSH2 initiative. This programme aims to strengthen understanding, accountability, and adherence to PSEAH principles across multiple sectors.

One of the major activities carried out in 2025 was a nationwide assessment conducted with the active participation of a wide range of stakeholders across the country. The assessment evaluated how well civil society organizations (CSOs), government institutions, and private sector actors understand and apply PSEAH principles in their operations.

The assessment was led by Hiwot Ethiopia in collaboration with the RSH2 technical team, using a combination of desk reviews, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews to ensure comprehensive and inclusive findings.

On 4 December 2025, a consultative workshop was held in Addis Ababa to present and discuss the assessment findings. The workshop brought together representatives from CSOs, private institutions, government partners, international NGOs (INGOs), and members of the PSEAH network.

During the workshop, valuable feedback and constructive comments were received from participants. These inputs will be carefully incorporated to finalize the assessment and guide its effective implementation.

Hiwot Ethiopia and the RSH2 team sincerely appreciate the strong commitment and collaboration of all stakeholders and extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this important process.
